BajofondoRemixed is an ongoing project that explores the relationship between the universal language of electronic music and the musical stylings of the Rio de la Plata. Since 2004 the project has performed worldwide with DJ sets and DJ sets with guests. In 2005 it published a self-titled album produced by Adrián Sosa and Sergio Chiappetta. The album was supported by a host of prominent DJ’s and producers, including: Alex Kid, Romina Cohn, OMAR and Marcelo Castelli, among others. In 2006 the project won a Gardel for Best Dance/ Electronic Album of the Year. In its present form, the group includes Pablo Bonilla (Dj), Bajofondo’s Javier Casalla (violin), Gabriel Casacuberta (bass) and Martín Ferres (bandoneón), who on this project join to remix ideas from the band and give a new look to dance music.
