Pedro Velázquez Cardoso, flutist
Born in Mexico City, he started studying the flute with Professor Carol Pitman at the “Vida y Movimiento” Music School of the Conjunto Cultural “Ollin Yoliztli”, to continue later in the same institution with Professor Judith Johanson. Among others, he has taken flutist courses with Karen Bogardus, Angela Koregelos, John Wion, William Benett, Colin Fleming, Tadeu Coelho, Keith Underwood and Trevor Wye.
During the Martes Musicales Cycle at theEx - Convento del Carmen en Guadalajara, his recitals have been accompanied by pianists such as Nina Venäläinen, Alla Milchtein, Sergio Hernández, and for the Paraninfo de la U. de G., by Ana Silvia Guerrero. He has also taken part in different chamber music groups, like the Quinteto de Alientos de Jalisco; the Motto Perpetuo Ensamble; with guitarist José Guadalupe López; with mezzo-soprano Chantal Depret. He has been soloist with the Orquesta Filarmónica de Jalisco and the Ensamble Filarmónico de Guadalajara, as well as many choral and jazz groups.
He is a flute teacher at the Major Seminar in Guadalajara, and at the School Music of the Casa de la Culture in Zapopan.
Velázquez Cardoso has performed with different Mexican Orchestras, as the Orquesta Sinfónica de Coyoacán, the Orquesta Sinfónica de Aguascalientes, the Orquesta de laUniversidad de Guanajuato; the one of Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara, The Orquesta Sinaloa de las Artes and, since May 1995, he is a regular interpreter at the flute section of the Orquesta Filarmónica de Jalisco.
Lonard Nubert, violín
Mexican, but or Rumanian origins, he was the concertino of the Orquesta Sinfónica of the University of Guadalajara for several years, playing as soloist with several Symphony Orchestras in the Mexican Republic.
He played in innumerable chamber music recitals, and was a founding member of the “Ensamble Clásico” quartet, with which he made several international tours to the United States, Germany, Italy and England, and has 6 CDs recorded with them.
Louri Kassian, viola
He is an Ukranian member of the Orquesta Filarmónica de Jalisco, and also Artistic Director and Founder of the “Ensamble Clásico” Quartet and the Ensamble “Viola Time”. Mr. Kassian is also an Instrumentalist.
He obtained honorific mentions for his Mexican Music arrangements in the First National Competition for Instrumentalists.He is Professor at the Music Department of the University of Guadalajara.
Costineli Florica, violoncello
Born in Constanza, Romania, he studied at Bucarest with Professors Rodica Badea and Anca Vartolomei, and entered the George Enescu Music Academy after winning a competition by opposition, studying with Maestro Gheorghe Rus, and he also studied with Uzy Wiezed in Germany.
He was first violoncello for about ten years for the Oltenia de Craiova Philharmonic Orchestra in Romania, and also a guest soloist at the Orquesta Sinfónica de Bahía Blanca, and at Mar del Plata in Argentina.
He has been First violoncello of the Orquesta Filarmónica de Jalisco since July 2005.

William Byrd

His birthday is debated between 1540 or the end of 1539, and he dies on July 4, 1623.This British Renaissance composer worked on the musical style of the moment, like secular polyphony, keyboard from the virginalist school and chamber music.
Franz Joseph Haydn

(31 March 1732 – 31 May 1809). He was one of the most important, prolific and prominent composer of the classic period. He is frequently named as the “Father of Symphony” and “Father of String Quartets” for his important contribution to these genres. He also worked on trios for piano and the evolution of sonatas.
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart
His complete christening name was Chrysostomus Wolfgangus Theophilus Mozart (January 27, 1756 – December 5, 1791). He was a prolific and influential composer of the classical period, having written more than 600 pieces which have been recognized by many as symphonic pinnacles, but important as well on chamber music, piano, opera, choral music and symphonies. He is also one of the most popular composers.
His quartets for flute, violin, viola and violoncello were written for Ferdinand de Jean, one of his fans, and were probably written between 1777 and 1778.
